3 months!

Jacob is 3 months old today! I still can’t believe how time has flown by so quickly. He is growing up way too fast!  We have been incredibly blessed from up above to have such a wonderful baby boy.  Momma loves you!

This Month:
* Jacob weighs 16lbs almost as much as a 6 month old boy at his age.
* He is eating 4-6 oz. every 3-4 hours during the day.
* At night, he is eating 4-6 oz. and wakes up 2-3 times to eat.
* He falls asleep between 10:00-midnight and wakes up between 9:00-11:00 in the morning.
* His naps last 20 minutes.
* He is wearing 6 month clothes.
* He experienced his 1st road trip to California and he did AWESOME on the road!
* He loves being in his bouncy for an hour or so.
* He DROOLS all over himself.
* He always has his hands in his mouth.
* He is a happy baby; he is constantly smiling.
* He doesn’t mind being held by different people.
* He’s such a handful!  Someone ALWAYS needs to be around him to keep him busy.
* Jacob ABSOLUTELY LOVES bath time.
* He is VERY observant and is constantly looking around.
* He has been congested almost every day especially in the morning.
* He makes funny grunting noises.

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

This decision was extremely hard to make. I switched doctors. My first doctor was such a sweetheart and hilarious, but I wasn’t “in love” with him. I had issues with the office staff. There was a time when I was requesting a prescription for my horrible nausea on a Friday. I called to ask if it was possible to have Zofran (friends told me it worked wonders during their pregnancy). The staff said I would receive a call that afternoon, but there was no call. Of course, they were closed Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday, I called requesting it again and I got the same runaround. Finally on Wednesday, I was furious that I hadn’t received a phone call back from my Dr. since Friday. I called the office and I explained to them that I had been waiting for a call 5 days ago and if this was going to go on then it was useless for me stay with this doctor and I was going to switch. She then placed me on hold and within seconds she told me that my prescription was filled and it was ready to be picked up at my pharmacy. Another moment was when I received a phone call to tell me that my placenta was low, I was told that my Dr. would explain my results in more detail on my next appt. When we did show up to our appointment my baby’s heartbeat was checked and my belly was measured… yup that was it. He didn’t go over my results! My sister-in-law recommended her Dr. and I had my first appointment this past week. I love him!!! He is so sweet and explained everything to me. I had an ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound to check my placenta. He went into detail about my low-lying placenta. My placenta is 2.1 cm away from my cervix and he would like for it to be 3cm away to do a vaginal delivery. He gave us the “ok” on intercourse. No more caffeinated drinks for me and no more deli meats. He also gave us a work order for a 4d ultrasound and a gestational diabetes test. I had both done this past Thursday. I was starving by the time I had my glucose test done. I drank the orange fanta tasting drink without the carbonation. It wasn’t bad at all. Only down fall about the test was the time I’d receive my results. I’m hoping they come in sometime this coming week. Wish me luck!

The Cold...

This cold has made me an emotional wreck. The coughing is so intense my abs are sore. It's hard to breathe with my nose congestion. I just had about enough of it and broke down. I went crying to my bedroom and laid in bed sobbing like a baby. My husband comes in to check on me and holds me in his arms. The little jerk is laughing and holding me, while I'm crying my eyes out. He just got back from Wal-Mart and bought me the Vicks Warm Steam Vaporizer. I'm praying that it'll help ease my symptoms. Oh, how wish I could have Nyquil! I'm exhuasted from the lack of sleep becuase of this presistant cough that keeps me up all night. There was one moment that made me smile. I was sitting on the couch lounging around and baby Jacob had made himself comfortable right on the edge of my tummy. I laid back and felt pressure towards the right side of my belly button. As I looked down I could see this side was literally popping up. This big lump just sticking out of my right tummy! I just laid there admiring it and within seconds he slowly made his way back down into my stomach. I absolutely love moments like these :)

I am so in love with him!
