This decision was extremely hard to make. I switched doctors. My first doctor was such a sweetheart and hilarious, but I wasn’t “in love” with him. I had issues with the office staff. There was a time when I was requesting a prescription for my horrible nausea on a Friday. I called to ask if it was possible to have Zofran (friends told me it worked wonders during their pregnancy). The staff said I would receive a call that afternoon, but there was no call. Of course, they were closed Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday, I called requesting it again and I got the same runaround. Finally on Wednesday, I was furious that I hadn’t received a phone call back from my Dr. since Friday. I called the office and I explained to them that I had been waiting for a call 5 days ago and if this was going to go on then it was useless for me stay with this doctor and I was going to switch. She then placed me on hold and within seconds she told me that my prescription was filled and it was ready to be picked up at my pharmacy. Another moment was when I received a phone call to tell me that my placenta was low, I was told that my Dr. would explain my results in more detail on my next appt. When we did show up to our appointment my baby’s heartbeat was checked and my belly was measured… yup that was it. He didn’t go over my results! My sister-in-law recommended her Dr. and I had my first appointment this past week. I love him!!! He is so sweet and explained everything to me. I had an ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound to check my placenta. He went into detail about my low-lying placenta. My placenta is 2.1 cm away from my cervix and he would like for it to be 3cm away to do a vaginal delivery. He gave us the “ok” on intercourse. No more caffeinated drinks for me and no more deli meats. He also gave us a work order for a 4d ultrasound and a gestational diabetes test. I had both done this past Thursday. I was starving by the time I had my glucose test done. I drank the orange fanta tasting drink without the carbonation. It wasn’t bad at all. Only down fall about the test was the time I’d receive my results. I’m hoping they come in sometime this coming week. Wish me luck!
